Just curious, which method do you use?  I've been using method 2 (3d6 in order 3 times, pick one) in my B/X game, but have been thinking about using method 3 (4d6 drop low) when I start my my Hyperborea game.  I think I would disallow attribute adjustment with method 3, though.

Most of the games I've seen kicking around end at 11 PM EST (Some later as many players are CST). And they start at ~8 PM, so 10 would be a little short. May have to open your window a bit...

I figured I'd ask for my ideal time and be flexible if I couldn't find a match.  Any openings in the Roll20 game you mentioned starting soon in another thread?

I'm looking to join a new or existing group as a player.  I can play weeknights until 10PM EST or thereabouts and have weekend availability as well.

I've only played AS&SH a few times at conventions, but have been playing D&D since 1982.  Lots of online gaming experience via Discord/Skype.

Yeah, I know what you mean about online play.

I'll be too busy until the second week of March with work projects, but am pretty open after that.  I prefer weekends, but can play weeknights as long as we don't go too late (I'm EST time zone).

Depending on the day and time I might be able to pull in 1 or 2 friends I've played with online on and off for years.  They haven't played AS&SH, but they are old school D&D gamers.  One of them is EST and the other is CST time zones.

Anyone else enjoy this genre?  I'm just getting into it and really like Atrium Carceri.

If I wasn't so far away (Maine) I'd jump on this in a heartbeat.  I've always wanted to play in a Zothique campaign.  If you ever decide to run it as an online game I'd be down for that.

I started making a list of bands and figured it would be easier to just link this awesome channel:

Lots of underground metal with some doom, stoner, and psychedelic thrown in for good measure - sometimes all on the same album!

I was listening to these two bands while reading my new AS&SH hardback.   I could've sworn it was 1982 and I was in my old bedroom reading my newly purchased Dungeon Masters Guide.

There is a great series of posts on the Dream in the Lich House blog (I can't post a link as I'm too new to the forum) outlining a megadungeon the author was working on (sadly, the last post is from 2014).  It's about an alien city encased in a glacier that was discovered by Vikings.  Basically, the Vikings make a summer camp/trade town outside the city and various groups raid/explore it during the summer months instead of neighboring kingdoms.

The author was originally planning to publish it, but it hasn't happened yet - I'm going to try contacting him to see if he's still working on it.  The outline is more than enough to start with, though.  I hope to start my adaptation of it soon and may run it as an online game if I can't drum up enough local interest.

Heya!

I'm Terry.  I've been playing RPGs since I was introduced to the D&D red box basic set back in 1981.  Over the years I've played lots of RPG systems/genres and like to bring bits and pieces from those systems into whichever I'm currently running.

I first played AS&SH with both Jeff and Tim Callan at TotalCon four years ago  and really enjoyed it.  I picked up the PDF to read shortly thereafter, but was heavily involved in an ongoing game in another system and was unable to get it to the table.  I was able to get into an AS&SH game run by Bob (BlackKnight) at TotalCon last week and it rekindled my interest in the system.  I bought the gorgeous new hardback edition and a couple of awesome T-shirts from Jeff on the last day of the con and am really looking forward to diving back in.
