Ah, we'll be in Michigan--though we do make it out to Seattle every couple of years, Scaly. Ms. Haversack's folks are there.

Funny thing is that I will be in MI the beginning of August through the 5th visiting family (that is where Scaly grew up). But back in time for this CON

Next time you make it out to Seattle you best give me a holler

I can do that!

What part of Michigan? My mother's family is from the west coast of MI--Muskegon and Oceana County. And I lived in Ann Arbor for a couple of years.

Seattle is great in the summer, you should try and make it some year. I got a bunch of extra room, cots, futons etc. (& a kegerator in the garage). Also a lot of different things are legal in Seattle. Just saying.

On a related note, before NTX this year  will be the Handy Haversack mini-Con in Seattle, happening next Sunday actually...hopefully there is no disturbance bringing the attention of the local militia or City watch.

Re: Dragonflight - Seattle's oldest gaming CON

Are hangovers illegal in Seattle. Because I will be wearing a kilt at a wedding the day before. So things are getting real!

Hey, yeah a kilt should be fine. Only things I know of that are illegal here are styrofoam, plastic grocery bags, & crossing a city street before the pedestrian crossing sign turns white..

Re: Dragonflight - Seattle's oldest gaming CON

I rolled up the pre gens for this upcoming game:

The ruleset is Lanyrinth Lord, but also used some variant classes from B/X 'Companion Expansion' by Barrataria

Altus the Arcane - 7th level Magic User
Doctor Strange - 7th level Illusionist
Element (of Danger) - 8th level Thief
The traveller (of space) - 7th level Scout
Llyr of the Jeweled Coast - 8th level Fighter
Brindle of Hamshire - 7th level Hobbit
Cadgael of the Stone - 8th level Fighter
Istuihel of the Pines - 6th level Elf (female)

next I am working on expanding the Island a bit as far as being fleshed out, and also working out incorporating onto the Island and possibly adjusting the strength/challenge of the great Lestrade's 'The Dying God' .

I also need to get a more detailed intro/hook in place for the beginning

The Con is a couple weeks away , getting excited for the game...

Re: Dragonflight - Seattle's oldest gaming CON

Day 1 of Dragonflight is in the books. I roped Mrs. Scaly into attending her 1st 'geek convention' for an evening.
She likes the Euro boardgames, we had fun.
Today is RPGs for me, playing in a lotfp game and running LL

Re: Dragonflight - Seattle's oldest gaming CON

Thanks guys. Yeah, great Con. 677 attendees this year. The LL\AEC game I ran was full and a fun time. The Illusionist and Thief bit it though.
I did a play test of 'The Island of Doctor Skullface' An expanded version of this will be in AFS 7.
Next year my group here is planning a full on tailgate during the Con. The food there sucks and there's not much drinking. Me and a buddy split a 12 pack of Coors heavy from a cooler in my trunk this time.
