Selene is gone.
The mute-wolves fall silent as Turok pushes against the door. It opens as darkness again swallows the world outside this magical circle of light.
Turok jumps back. The broken step is all that can now be seen of the hut.
The confused mutes shiver on the ground, half naked in shredded underclothes.

Turok pauses for a moment listening intently...at least his has an answer to the question of how Selene affects the mutes.
Handing his warclub to one and the iron rod to the other signing for them to watch the doorway, Turok grabs a torch from his backpack and lights it hoping that will keep them warm [kinda] until they figure out what is going on.

The mutes regain their senses, but still wonder how they have come to this place without their leather coats and packs.
They take the weapons and wait for the torch to take.

Tillak gives up and leaves the domed chamber, and heads up to the kitchen.
The door hangs open, but Tillak can clearly see the bloody gouges in the cellar side of the door. He is amazed at the light that glows within the kitchen as he steps through.
There is light outside the high windows.
There is light in the chapel beyond the burnt out doorway and yet outside the church beyond.
He wonders if this work of magic is that that has drained away the lifeforce of Narrhil...
