General Discussion » Rolling with Advantage, featuring Hyperborea! » 12/18/2023 4:12 pm |
Our friends at Rolling with Advantage are back with a new Hyperborea campaign! Love how it starts off with Roman soldier in Britain who finds himself in a strange, mythical land...

Very cool! I didn't know Corey was still active in gaming, so nice to see & hear (more a reflection of my inattention, I'm sure). Subscribed, and looking forward to the next KS for the adventures, but even more-so the Khromarium and Mt. Vhuurmithadon KS.
Thank you. I am immensely appreciative of your many years of support!

I had the pleasure of chatting with Corey at Lo-Fi Gaming, a brilliant new YouTube channel. We talked about all sorts of stuff, including Holmes D&D, AD&D, Castle Zagyg, working with Gary Gygax, publishing Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea, HPL, REH, CAS, the writing process, and more. Corey wrote the Hyperborea adventure, "The Anthropophagi of Xambaala," which is a fan favorite. Please like and subscribe to his channel, because he's just starting out, and his content is top-notch. Cheers! ~Jeff T.

I've been reached out to a lot on this topic, from friends, family, industry peers, fellow gamers, and so forth. For me, the past is the past. I moved on from that unfortunate series of events a long time ago. Although I consider Luke and TLG to be friends, I am perfectly happy controlling my own destiny. If those good dudes have some questions for me in the future, I might have some answers, but I am all in on Hyperborea.

EDIT: The below shirt is now available for pre-order!
HYPERBOREA Shoggoth T-Shirt
Greetings,
About ten years ago, we released our first T-shirt design, "Beware the Shoggoth," featuring a wonderful illustration by Ian Baggley. It sold out about five or six years ago, and since then it has been a popular request. I'd like to bring it back on a nice, super soft, tri-blend shirt, such as we did with our recent death metal shirt. It would be about $30 to $35 + shipping. If this interests you, please let me know! As always, your support is immensely appreciated.
Cheers,
Jeff T.

Excellent work. A worthy addition to any campaign.
HYPERBOREA 3E » Ixians » 11/03/2023 12:40 pm |
I'm not sure I understand the question completely, but I do think that the bases have been covered well enough in the Ixian write-up of the Player's Manual on p. 117. I don't want to sound obtuse or evasive, but typically speaking, when I present something in the game that is described as possibly being one thing ("this") or possibly another thing ("that"), I'm not likely to subsequently pin down for the reader whether it is in actuality "this" or "that," because, as gizmo mentioned above, it is supposed to be left for your imagination to explore. But let us know how you decide to present Ixians in your game, because I love hearing that sort of thing. Cheers!

Is this out yet?
It is not. I realize I've been talking about this one for a while, but it is not quite ready yet. It requires another editorial sweep, a few more art assignments, and some map edits. But it is getting much closer! Thanks for your interest!
