Afternoon in the palace

Tentheta and Agathe go through the door and into the
hallway. There is a door to the left and a hallway
opposite. At the end of the hallway past the nearby
hallway is a door on the right.

Agathe goes to the hallway on the right and peers
around the corner.

There is a short hallway with a door on either side
about halfway down.

Agathe goes up to it, finding no traps she opens it
for Tentheta. Before Tentheta can get into the room
Agathe has to darts blown at her. One hits but the
poison fails to enter her system.

Tentheta barrels into the room and smashes a cannibal's
skull and Agathe fires 2 Flaming Missiles at a nearby
cannibal.

Niamh fires 2 Magic Missiles at another.

Niamh and Agathe aren't hit by the missiles blown at them, but
Tentheta does take a clubbing.

A cannibal gets to the doorway and attacks Agathe but it's fervor
causes it to miss, stumble into the door frame and break its neck.

Tentheta is battered by another club but that cannibal succumbs to
a dart a companion fired at Tentheta.

Tentheta smashes that cannibal to death as a sling from Agathe hits
the remaining enemy and Dai's sword takes its head off.

Agathe notes the 5 gold threaded tapestries hanging in the room and fines
a brass trimmed colored pane of glass under a reclining bed.

This is a very well kept and tidy room.

The room across the hall is the exact opposite. A rotting curtain and musty pallets
are the items of note.

The door at the end of the hall is checked and opened. The noteworthy thing
is a mural on the south w

Xenokrates shoots his bow to take a victim out of their misery. Niamh hits
one with a bullet from her sling and Dai with his bow but it's not enough to end their suffering.

Agathe goes invisible and starts walking silently towards the enemies.

Tentheta runs towards the fire while everyone else moves up slowly and continue the
missile attacks.

Xenokrates mercy kills another but misses with his second arrow.

The people eaters run towards the party. Two get to Tentheta and the rest almost get to the party.

They all swing ferociously but wildly in their frenzy.

Xenokrates fells one with his sword while Saghano cracks one with her staff.

Niamh shoots her magic missiles into the one attacking her but it is not enough to stop it.

Dai hits but does not kill his enemy but Tentheta crushes the skull of hers. The second one attacking
Tentheta does land a punch on tentheta. As does the one attacking Dai.

Dai's two blows with his broadsword ends the life of the people eater. Tentheta continues her onslaught
by killing the other attacker.

Niamh takes another step back to cast her final magic missiles and kills her opponent. Saghano also
kills her attacker.

Xenocrates fatally stabs the penultimate foe as Agathe finishes off the last one with a vicious backstab.

Finding nothing in their search of the area they follow the less numerous tracks heading towards the southeast.

The party walks the balcony in watches. Trying not to catch the attention of the
guards patrolling the court yard.

During Dai's and Xenocrates' watch Xenocrates hears struggling from what he thinks is the room
below.

He jumps over the balcony and successfully rolls as he hits the ground minimize the impact.

Xeno sees a window and looks in. The faint light from the 2:20am sunrise does little to help
see inside, but he does make out some movement. He clumsily jumps through the window cutting
himself on the shards.

He can see 2 of the beds empty with the blankets messed up. The people that were sleeping
were awakened with Xeno's crashing.

The door to the room is ajar and Xeno goes to it and looks around.

He sees the empty dining hall but does see the door to the kitchen slowly swinging to a stop.
He goes to it and peeks in and can't see much, but goes in. The dim light shows only a
stove with embers, a door to the outside and another door.

Xeno checks the door and finds a larder with only food in it.

Just then a guard comes into the kitchen from the door to outside.

Xeno answers the guard's questions, trying to explain he heard someone struggling and went to
help. The guards sends him back to his room.

When he gets back he shares what he saw.

Agathe decides to go sneaking about.

She goes down stairs and into the kitchen.

She is able to find a trap door in the ceiling of the larder and goes up.

Yup, I always ask which targets for magic missile, flaming missile, ice darts, etc.

Of course, ice darts are always fun because they require a "to hit" roll.

So sometimes we get to figure out how exactly that cryomancer flubbed the throwing of an ice dart so badly that it ruins the rest of them :-)

I did put in some firewall rules to block the ai bot domains. Maybe you got caught in that net?

The players are given information about Xambaala and
the weird things happening at night.

The Adventurers Guild Bar and Grill representative at
Saturn's Luck didn't have much info beyond that. No one
is particularly interested in paying them to figure things
out.

The party contemplates their options. They decided to go to
the edge of town and hang out in an abandoned building.

Agathe and Tentheta hang out on the roof.

Shortly after eventide bell a group of seven loinclothed
dudes wander by. Tentheta yells at them waiting for them
to get close enough to jab with her pike.

Agathe jumps down and wakes folks sleeping inside.

The dudes go after Agathe.

Tentheta slides down pike and prepares to fight. He is
able to jab one before four of them swarm him.

The others follow after Agathe into the building.

The first one that steps in gets a stone from Agathe's sling. Those
in side are just getting to their feet and into the fight.

Outside Tentheta gets pummeled but she is able to smack one good
with her mace.

Niamh zaps one with her Magic Missiles. Saghano misses with her
quarterstaff. Sai is able to cut one done with his broad sword.

Agathe shoots her Flaming Missiles into one trying to get in the room.

Saghano gets clubbed while Tentheta continues getting a beat down but is
able to dispatch another.

Saghano is able to return the favor with her staff to the one that hit him.

Another volley of Flaming Missiles from Agathe is able to kill another dude.

Saghano heals himself.

Tentheta is able to kill another. Da

I think they you my pc_gen app. I'm pretty laissez-faire about it.

I think they suffered a bit with not having a magician or similar.
