Hey, Iron Ranger!  We have recently kicked-off and are four strong.

I'll ask Brock Savage who's running the show to get in touch with you.

I'm not messing, Nemomeme.

RAW says exactly that, as best as I can tell; if A wins initative and can complete full movement before B with half movement exits, the charge vests.

C is only in play if his/her initiative beats B, which is alphabetically unreasonable.

My "lesson learned" story was for your players - the dice aren't always on your side, nor are they always opposed. May B and C one day be as A; unstoppable!

Nemomeme - do you know of an alternate table-top ruleset that handles the circumstance to your liking?

I don't know of one that will satisfy your conundrum. Such is the power of initiative.

If B or C were my character, and A got the jump on me, next time I'd think twice about warming my hands by the brazier when the likes of A are nearby.

Hi everyone, I’m the person responsible for the written text of the Xambaala adventure. Jeff (gently) cajoled me out of message board slumber in order to briefly say ‘hi’. Anyway, I’m very pleased to see that the Kickstarter is doing so well, and there is such vigorous support for it here

Congratulations, Rastus, on your words and awakening.  We are eager to consume you[r astonishing tales]!

Jimm - that is perfectly horrifying.  I'd support its owlbear adaptation for an AS&SH campign, and get a daemonic influence into its backstory.

Thanks, Brock.  It looks quite interesting.  I've got it set to record and will give it a shot in the coming evenings when the kids are asleep.

Thanks for the reminder, Handy - I gave the amount of push I could.

Better yet, it alerted me to the wild coincidence that Juan Ochoa (http://www.juanochoa.co) is a contributing artist!  You can see some of his work on The Midderlands in the Kickstarter project updates.  He and I collaborated on a mini-comic a few years back.  Who knew?!

I made time for this last night.  Thank you, Binary, for the recommendation.

I'd just prior been investigating Crom Cruach (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crom_Cruach) and his purported agent the Dullahan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dullahan) of Ireland, and could not help but see the connection.

AS&SH campaign-worthy for sure!

Awesome, Kradonus!  I'll talk to Brock and we'll get a plan together for the three of us to talk shop.

I find that PCs of whatever class that survive for any length of time in my AS&SH game have a good chance of some kind of deformity, mutation, or horrible scarring. No system needed: just regular old game play. I don't think there's any reason to formalize it for spell casters when *everyone* has a chance of ending up with ape arms and snake hair.

Handy - you and Brock have been drinking from the same tainted well; he's been threatening our PCs with similar afflictions for our adventuresome efforts.

Thrilled to have stumbled upon this thread and videos.  I was entirely unaware of De Camp's IP/character assassination of Howard.  Eye-opening to say the least, and an excellent cautionary tale.

Certainly, the video's creator should have taken his own medicine and credited the source material on screen.

Now I need to go watch "Whole Wide World."

Thanks, Ghul!

Jeff - staring at these 2E hardback images has me entranced.  I now must do my best to grab one of the precious few overstock blue foiled versions.  Will those appear on DriveThruRPG sometime after the standard hardbacks?

No rush; happy to wear out the PDF for years to come if I must.
