Just some pics from day 1 of the Con/last night. This is my buddy's Pyramid of Suberus game (from Pegasus 7/JG). Thief was impaled and the Cleric electrocuted. Fun game. (*one of the players is sporting a Mystery at PG tshirt)

Looks like a good time, Scott!  How's Dragonflight compare to GaryCon and NTX in terms of old-school appeal/audience size?

Allan.

Hi,
"We broke all our attendance records this year with 801 individuals attending. Our collective memory suggests that the last time we approached this was in the mid 90s during the ascent of Magic cards, with ~740 attendees."

*edit - as far as old school appeal

Frog God/Kobold Press actually had a booth this year. I have no idea how they did, I stopped in late Sunday and bought a S&W Complete Mullen game screen. They are local from Kirkland and Poulsbo. The vendor set up is kind of off there and not sure how good it is.

Running games i have never had a table with less than 7. The old school games typically fill. There are maybe 5 or 6 that can be considered old school on average I have seen run as well as Car Wars tourneys etc..

If anyone is up for a road trip or flight Seattle is a great place in mid August.
The auction kicked a$$ this year also

Where the Con is held is at a hotel in Bellevue WA. Bellevue is east side tech. No personality anywhere close to Seattle proper, but just across the bridge and upscale/nice.

This year's dates are 8/25/17-8/27/17. I have a B/X game scheduled so far as does a friend of mine. Runequest is scheduled as is CoC as well so far. My game and my buddies game are already booked for the pre sign up slots.

My game:B/X D&D (Moldvay 1981) - The Shrine of IlsidahurFor character levels 3-6, pre gens will be provided. Light your torch, don your helmet, grab your sword and let's do some old school adventuring. Torn from the pages of Dungeon magazine in the late 80's, "It's strange that a shrine to a vanished god should still be taking sacrifices.."

My friends game:
B/X D&D The Sanctuary of Elwyn the ArdentCharacter Levels 1-3, pregens will be provided. A church in crisis and a monstrous fortress to be infiltrated. Is there a brave enough party of adventurers to defeat the evil within and restore the miracle bell to the Church of the Holy Sanctuary?
