HYPERBOREA / 'Following' Threads

I don't know whether others have experienced this, but I've found in some threads I do not receive an email notification when a new post is made. I know there's the check button at the bottom that you can tick to be notified, but it seems a bit temperamental. Is there a way to 'follow' every thread that you comment on, or would that inconvenience other users?

I think that you won't get another notification unless you view the new post while logged in. At least, that's been my experience.

It's fairly frequently that I'll post a comment in a thread and click to be notified about newer posts. Only sometimes does it work though. It's not a huge deal because I can check the site fairly regularly, but wasn't sure whether others had experienced it.
