It presents as a door or maybe even a large mirror. Either way large
enough for a human to go through.

It has buttons or controls on one edge. The technology and knowledge
of how to control it has been lost.

If activated what looks like a mirror appears. Touching this will
transport the person to a distant time or place.

On the other side the person can come back through by touch the same
surface they came through. They go back to other "door" they went through
originally.

There might be tokens nearby. These can be card like or look like gem stones.
These can be used to control the location transported to from any doors.
