Glad you approve! My goal with this project is to create key info for myself so that I can actually run this dungeon - I don't want to get bogged down writing pages of fanfic for some theoretical exercise.
Exactly. That should be the way of all things. Let's get to the damn slaying!

Initial thoughts on Level Two. This level will be bigger than Level One. Probably a July 4 weekend project.

Well said! I agree. That is some serious rocket fuel for the imagination, chainsaw!

Hey, thanks. I am more of a Swords and Weird Science fellow, but if what I write helps anyone - super! Jeff has created quite a robust game and game enironment, I think, leaving plenty of room to custimize, which is the heart of the hobby.

Impressive show, chainsaw. I want to explore this dungeon now! I love the way that natural cavern/tunnel wraps around it, with the worked dungeon around and inside it. It makes me think the caves were discovered, and the mega-dungeon was crafted from it. That's an underworld ecology I can appreciate.

Thanks man. Maybe I will run a session of it at Gary Con, as Morgan suggested. You are welcome to play - it would be an honor and a pleasure to kill your PC!

Indeed! That natural cavern is actually an underground river that I have not depicted as such just quite yet.

space mummies – stranded in Fools Grave when their starship crashed through an interdimensional warp, the space mummies have roamed its halls for decades in search of magic and technology to help them return home. their white suits hang in tatters and their transparent, bubble-shaped helmets expose rotten faces, but their kaleidoscopic eyes still shine bright. they will fight or ally with any group depending on their needs at the moment, leading many to fear their unpredictabilty as much as their devastating laser pistols.

Are these the space mummies that attack with their entrails......SU-WEET!

The megadungeon setup will be very simple: During the Festival of Plutonia (Nightfall, Year 13), the impenetrable doors of a spiral tower creaked open, admitting anyone brave enough to descend into its dark depths. Many have entered, but few have returned - some with wealth overflowing, others simply mad, drooling and babbling.
This is perfect! Not a lot of backstory that is forgotten week to week. Adventure pure and simple in the vein of Death Test (for the Fantasy Trip). Much fun will ensue!
We will see! I have some ideas for overarching themes (and maybe a short history), but that will only come out as details here and there.

This could be the beginning of a Mega Dungeon race at GC to see how far a beginning group can get!
Not a bad idea at all. Does anyone do an ongoing mega-dungeon game at GC? For any system?
Ernie runs the hobby shop dungeon.

I really like the originality of the creatures and factions you are using. Lots of creativity!

Ahhh, that's right. Forgot.

Thanks. I will use plenty of creatures from the Bestiary, but I also need to put my own stamp on it.

Level 2, SE area of middle
Note: There will be pages even on the sides without large river cavern access (NNW, SSE, SEE) but I wanted to see it all together before choosing the access points. The maps below will still be changing.

This map will probably end up being twice as big as the other maps. I am wondering if it should be Level 3 rather than Level 2, and the one marked Level 3 becomes Level 2. That one big passage probably links up well anyway.

This is great stuff. With randomly generated dungeon dressing, it allows you, the referee, to also be surprised by what may be in store. That is a lot of fun, and it puts you on the spot. I dig it!

That is an island with a small fort, the dots indicating a beach.
Only seven sheets to go, all edges and three corners, so they should require less content. Should be done in a few days!
