*bows deeply* Well met! (a very Forgotten Realms greeting ;-))
What's the common Hyperborean greeting? "I hope to drive everyone before me and hear the lamentation of their women?" I jest :D

Hi All, Finally got access after the Ghul defeated a mysterious demon. Name is Edwin Stahlnecker. I started gaming around 1970 with wargames and began D&D in 1975 and went from there. Took a 10 year hiatus and got back into gaming a couple of years ago. I went to GaryCon VI and picked up a copy of AS&SH. Played my first AS&SH game (Beneath the Comet) at NTRPG Con with Ghul running and had a blast. I might be finally getting into a consistent game again coming up. I am going to try to attend GaryCon, NTRPG Con, Nexus Game Fair, and Gamehold Con each year. Ask away. Best, Edwin

Sure will at GaryCon. Not sure what games I will get in yet. I will definitely stop by in the dealers room.

Howdy!
Some folks prefer to call me Dave, since Gynsburghe was the name of my beloved high school era gnome illusionist. I've been playing RPGs since around 1984, my first purchase actually being Pacesetter's Chill (I borrowed AD&D books for my first year or so). I have long been a fan of pulp fantasy authors, and have been a total geek for Lovecraft for a very long time (I used to front a band that was the first, and probably last, Lovecraftian country rock band). Appendix N really influenced my youth...
I totally dig AS&SH, which should come as no surprise. I grabbed the PDF recently from drivethru and will be buying the boxset from my FLGS in the near future. In addition to AS&SH, I am (logically) into old school games in general - from OD&D to many of the modern simulacrums and OSR goodies. LotFP and DCC are certainly high on my list of favorites as well.
I'm currently tweaking and fiddling with creating a setting for OSR games based in gothic/fantasy horror.
It's really nice to see the OSR has made its way to the north country! I wish there were more of us around here because sometimes it seems impossibly hard to assemble a group of grognards who enjoy the 'old ways'.
