"Aye, savages," whispered Narrhil to Tillak, as he prepared his weapons.

The pick feels at home in Tillak's paws after such a long doze....

Turok further putters around the room holding the rod in one hand and feigning interest in the stuff laying around, he looks for something to grab his attention...
"Should we consider a place to rest in this area?" to the mutes..."Where do you think it might be the most secure?"

Besides the frozen hound & frozen carved wolf carcasses, racks of frozen bottles, broken glass, Turok's scant attention around the small space is not piqued.
The mutes nod in agreement, but make motions indicating that the space is a trap without exit.

"Then let us go find some safe lodging...", Turok with metal rod in hand heads towards the stairs.

The mutes draw circles in the air next to their heads with their fingers when the Shaman's back is turned, but him nonetheless.

Turok trudges up the stairs to the kitchen and takes a peek out of the door looking for anything that might seem out of place.

EVerything in the kitchen is as Turok and the mutes left it. Looking through the burnt out doorway into the chapel, he notices that the sleeting has picked up again.

Despite straining as hard as possible for the slightest sound through the stone, it seems to Tillak and Narrhil that the noise makers in the cellar have left or fallen asleep.

Noticing the change in the weather Turok turns to the two, "Perhaps we should reconsider the cellar?"

Ferrand mouths, "We're getting worried about the scouts. They're gone too long." His severed tongue not making words.

"We could hide in here till next year," Narrhil said to Tillak. We have food, warmth, light, and good company," giving a nod to the great worm resting on the portal. "What more could go wrong?" He part smiled...

"The weather is bad, we can either wait for them in a secure place or search again."
"Against my better judgement" Turok thought to himself

Tillak looks at Narrhil. "Are they still there?"

"I am uncertain," strains Narrhil to listen at the secret door. He wished he had some kind of spell to search outwith their confinements..

The worm winks back. Deep down Narrhil knows that TIllak's furs are thick, but without fire these temps will eventually send him to the great esquimeaux in the skie. He may have to share his Beloved, if they both intend to live outlast Nightfall in this buried tomb. And how long before the mere thought of another bite of the gruel drives them to eat the Worm or worse...each other...
"What more could go wrong, indeed...."

Still, Narrhil truly did not believe what he had just said...

Turok takes it upon himself to alleviate the pair's concern..
"Out we go then...just not the same place twice."
He checks his pack and gear and then gesturing...
"After you."

The mutes look to the Totem of the Wolf for guidance from this indecision.
