Entangle Spell

So, if a target fails its save  and is entangled is that considered prone until a save is passed?

Re: Entangle Spell

That's one possible interpretation. I'd be inclined to rule that a failed SV means the character is entangled for the duration of the spell, so treated as prone for the duration. In other words: it's a deadly spell, especially as it's only 1st level.

Ah, interesting, yes that make's it quite deadly!

I was thinking targets would have to roll a save every round for the whole turn.

Generally you roll a SV once, unless it's stated otherwise. And while deadly under the right circumstances, there is the requirement for some vegetation to be in the area of effect to work at all.

Noted, I like it. Makes low level druids quite effective.
