"Yes, I heard that but what has this got to do with where the portal was hidden? You just told me the church was built but not that it was build on top of the portal but now I know!"

[Dur to Votin's advanced age he needs hearing aids...]
"There is a secret room in the basement where the body of the last priest lays...an opening of sorts is in the floor where you must lie in and move some sort of levers...it will close and take you to the tunnels where the beastmen are and I came in from.
I don't know how to send it back if there were more than one person trying to go back or forth.
Keep in mind the intelligent beastmen seemed to be protecting me from the more savage ones..."

Narrhil was still try to comprehend the process of this portal. "So, Sir Votin, if you used the portal, did you come from the future or the past?" Still a novice in the arts, the cryomancer struggled to learn so much in such a short period of time about such a powerful construct of magic.
"Some magic relics can only be used so many times per day, or perhaps at a certain time, when the stars are in the right order in the skies," he answered in consideration to Votin's query, "and there is also this missing key, which might activate the portal from this side!"

"I suppose it is worth a try. Maybe one of us can look at it a determine if it can be programmed to return without an occupant. Where is it?"

Once they gather the party starts back towards the bell tower.
"I have no idea... we have a way to track the moon and sun...travel through time is unknown to me."

"As it is to me, good friend," grins Narrhil, like a wolf, "but the myths tells of these things, though it is difficult to believe!"

Tillak glances skyward. "There have been tales told that we all have origins in the stars beyond. That is fantastic enough. Travel through time, though? That seems too fantastic, even for one such as I, trained partially in the arcane arts."

The rickety wooden tower in the courtyard is toward the left of your position. The front doors of the church to your right.

Narrhil moves with the group towards the right and the bell tower.
[I thought we were in the south of the church? The silence was to the south and we attempt to explore that. Coming back mean we go right, yes?]

If the others can light the area Votin will ascend the stairs...very very carefully.

Complete opposite.
The noisy wind and trees were to the north, and the sound that drew Narrhil, Votin and Keet came from those woods. You through the deep snowed field to the north. Tetranna is banished to the woods of the north. You are north of the Church. The tower courtyard is toy our left.

The group trudges through the thick snow toward the church. As the snow levels thins some they approach the cemetery fence.
