Narrhill waves wildly as the flames stop movement on the other side of the tree Keet hides behind.
Then he rests his blue tinged hands against the force and no further.
The wind continues to gale and the trees continue to scream over head.

Votin tries digging at the snow at the bottom of the wall.

"Well, that did not work!" Contemplates the Cryomancer as he glances at his hands wondering what force they contained but the flamebringers had stopped, perhaps he had got their attention.
"We can only hope they cannot pass through this force wall but that would still leave Kéet trapped!"
"They are very close to our comrade!" He added apprehensively...

Votin stops his digging...moving back to his companions he starts banging his pick on the wall and yelling loudly.

Nothing seems to work.
Keet grips his axe and slowly steps out from behind the tree.
You hear a ringing female voice like wine glass ring cut through the howling wind and trees.
Keet lowers his axe. He's talking to a woman.

"This must be the witch?" Narrhil tried to recognise her from his vision. He also watched Kéet very closely. Was she turning him to her cause. He presumed she would seek revenge on such as he, if it remined her of her past horrors.

The woman speaks to Keet but you can hear her ringing voice too through the noise.
I am Tetranna. Protector of these woods and once protector of this villlage. Long ago a portal was discovered in these hills, a portal to another time and place of peace and prosperity, and the clerics of Helios harnessed it and covered it up, forever guarding the secret, lest it fall into the knowledge those of ill intent.
But a wicked wizard Auziwandilaz soon caught word of it and filled this land with blight and plague. Attacking this village with suspicion and mistrust. Ultimately murder. I tried to save the children but they burned them alive in the church, banishing me to these woods. The last priest descended to secure the portal as was his duty. But he failed and the wizard got through.
He has created a vile army of crossbred beastmen. Gifted with an intelligence to follow his command. He brings them back through the portal to amass in this time. To conquer this land. Fooling all by masquerading himself as me. You cannot defeat him here, you must go back.
Auziwandilaz was once imprisoned. Held forever in chains through the strongest of magic, suspended within a deep well, lost away hidden within mountain caves, left to rot to all time. Until a group of hapless wandering adventuring fools stumbled upon his corpse and dared stare into his eyes - releasing him from his prison.
You must go back and stop them.

Votin yells over the howling wind....
"How do we know you are telling the truth? How do we know we can trust you?"
"Let us come forth and parley!"

Tetranna steps forward to the very edge of the trees right in front of you. Her voice a ring over the howl of the wind and trees.
As you cannot enter. I cannot exit. This one knows the truth. As does your mage.

Tillak mutters to his companions, in a low tone so that the enchantress cannot here him, "She seeks our aid by trying to enchant us? She could not simply ask us instead?"

I am no simple enchantress, young esquimeaux. Am I not asking you?

"Tetranna, let our companion come to us so that we may consider your request."

"It is the witch I saw in my vision but even she admits this Auziwandilaz can take on her shape, perhaps it is he we speak to, luring us to our doom?" says Narrhil.

"Aye, how do we tell who is who?"

"It would be difficult, I have no spell to counter it. We have no knowledge of their past lives to garner any quirk that would aid us!"
