Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

[I assume the others only watch, is anyone minding the soup? It's nearly done.]

Now that the fire lights the room, Narrhil prepares to cast the detect magic spell on their items. He had planned to explore temple, the main chapel and down in the basement. He takes his blanket and lays it on the floor placing the items around him, the bowl, bone spoon, scrolls, rings, wand and other items they have collected, the rope, hourglass, metal picks, amongst other things.

He starts whispers a pray to Yikkorth...

[Theory, Kéet's ring also. He also wants to rise quickly and go downstairs, the bottles, some are CLW, from what I got?

XP: 4,733/5,000; and at max hp: 5].

Narrhil begins to sense the presence of magical forces around him and opens his eyes.

Before him on the blanket,
5 rolled parchments shimmerlight.
a bone spoon shimmerlights.
a wand shimmerlights.

his cyan violet stained hands shimmerlight.
a ring beneath the stain shimmerlights.

On Keet's hand, a ring shimmerlights.
There is shimmerlight seeping from within Keet's pack.

There is shimmerlight seeping from within Tillak's pack.

There is shimmerlight seeping from within his own pack.

He definitely bores quickly watching the wizard stare at his trinkets atop his blanket.
The soup boils and the meat near falls of the bone within the kettle.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

"Master Kéet and Tillak, something within your packs radiate magic, let me see!" He says this while opening his own pack and looking inside.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

"False alarm, guess it is our spell books!" He grunts as he rises, "I go to the remains of the altar and the golden harp. Sir Votin, Master Tillak would you join me, Master Kéet can tend the fire."

He takes the partially used torch and light it in the hearth-fire...

The torch flares back to life.
Entering the chapel he sees:
The melted golden harp shimmerlights.

Narrhil explains the golden harp radiates magic, and then proceeds down into the cellar.

Narrhil holds the torch ahead as he descends the thin stairway within the wall.
He shines the torch back at forth across the cellar's remaining shelves and bottles.
Looking for anything that shimmerlights.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Votin tastes the soup...he's had better....but when there's nothing else it beats starvation.
"Soup's done."

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Votin is amazed with the tomfoolery these magical types are doing...he thinks all the world needs is a strong arm and a sharp axe.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Votin wipes his finger through his 10 year long overgrown hair and beard and looks about for some way to eat the soup.

There is a spoon and a bowl atop Narrhil's blanket.

Votin remembers there was something magical about the spoon, it raises the hairs on the back of his neck...not sure of the bowl either Votin rummages around for some other method to eat the soup.

[So,there is no spoon? Okay going for it ]

In Votin's addled state he seems to remember he is supposed to be somewhere else...hunger getting the best of him, he snatches up the spoon and bowl, then fills the bowl and noisily devours the soup.

[Yes, there is a spoon next to the a bowl on the blanket, but Votin knows absolutely nothing about it at all.]

Votin scoops a bowlful of soup from the kettle and dips the spoon into the bowl to gather a slurp of meat stew...
The bowl suddenly fills with gruel - ejecting the hot soup all over the barbarian - who promptly drops the entire mess to the stone floor!

Narrhil moves along the wine rack examining them...
