Narrhil nods at Tillak, then watches as Kéet moves before them. His wounds ached, and he felt vulnerable without any spells to assist them, though of course he had his wand, but it was useless against the undead!

KEET GOOCH crawls out of the cavemouth onto the loose broken shale and granite underfoot. The cold wind kicks up and whips against his torchlight. The air is cold but fresh and he take it deep into his lungs. Freedom at last after how many weeks he cannot remember.
The cave is high on incline nestles between two treelines. One upon he can just make out, another hundred yards up, and a lower one stretching across the small valley in which the church sits. The dome light around the church begins to fade. Clouds move in from the south blocking the starfield, a density meaning only more storm.
A path of recently disturbed shale pieces is easily followed, switchbacking slowly to the trees below...

NARRHIL and TILLAK watch KEET slowly descend the incline outside the cave. After he's 30 feet away the cave grows extremely dark.

Narrhil follows, keeping close to any protruding object to hide behind. He scans the land, looking for danger.

Outside the cave there is nowhere to hide. Narrhil balances on a steep incline of broken bits of shale and rock. Keet makes for a treeline 100 yards below, there's another treeline higher at the top of the incline. But Narrhil sees what Keet sees, the dimming of the dome and the threatening clouds covering the ruddy dim light of Phobos near the horizon.

Narrhil acknowledges the faint light and stoically follows Kéet to whatever doom awaited them...

[How is the ambient light? Can Kèet extinguish the torch and still proceed?]

The clouds are now covering the dim ruddy light of Phobos, so the torch is necessary.
The path of disturbed rocks underfoot lead into the trees.

Tillak follows.
Narrhil moves slowly down the loose footing of the incline ahead.

Kèet continued his trek to the bell tower of the church, trying to interpose trees and cover between his torch light and his destination.

Keet enters the treeline, snow banks show the spacing between trees, the trampled snowpath leads deeper downhill.

The torchlight disappears as Keet enters the dense trees below. Tillak catches up to the carefully plodding Narrhil. They stand together in the dark, scarcely seeing each other face.

Without too much hesitation, Narrhil lights a torch, and leads the way for him and Tillak.

Kèet will wait for the others at this point before continuing down the path.

Keet waits. The evergreens groan under the weight of snow, branches snap loose in the distance.
Once the 3 are regrouped they press on, the storm clouds quickly cover the sky and ice begins to rain down. Slowed by the cold and incredible hunger they eventually come to a small ridge, where they hear the flow of water to the right below.
At last the trees part and the ahead they can make out the dark shape of the church but the path of disturbed snow they have tracked bears a hard right down a small trail.
Keet's torch flickers out.

Narrhil gives the others what sparse food they had looted, and eat some himself. Though he was not disturbed by the cold, due to the magical ring, it did not allow him to traverse mounds of snow and ice with ease. He was tired and wounded, his spells were gone, and he needed to study his tome of spells to memories them once more.
"Do you think the interior of the church is now occupied by the minions of this witch?" he asks his comrades. He tries to peer through the darkness, looking for any form of movement or light from the church or nearby.

The famished group devours the dried food.

Narrhill strains to see the dark church, its looming dark shape unrecognizable from this angle and completely still.

The food make Narrhil feel much better (I got him at 4 out of 4 hps?). "If someone can spy us from the church, then we are obviously seen!" He said grimly. He thought of their warm shelter in the wine cellar, and wished to be there, but the wish spell did not work...
