“Yes, good, I thought you looked Esquimaux, and your people are the right type of people for the job, indeed!”
“What did this priest want?” asked Narrhil in genuine curiosity. 'Wolves he thought, hungry and lean in this time of the years of Hyperborea.' He thinks.
After he finishes chatting with Tillak, he watches his new comrades explore the dais.
'Gold harp,' he thinks, 'that will help with my identify spell, but I usually am exhausted after use and I sleep for twenty-four hours thereafter,' he shakes his head at his own weakness.
Still, the fire was low and they needed shelter, he moves to the door on the opposite side of the harp to look beyond.

With Narrhil in the burned out doorway, the waning firelight doesn't cast enough light into the dark space beyond for him to see.

The cryomancer does not want to use one of his precious torches as he only has four of them left, so he summons an icicle that rises from the palm of his hand which he then gently takes a grip of, he holds it high to get a better look.
[OOC: ICICLE
Once per day per level of experience, evoke a 12-inch icicle to rise from a loosely clenched fist. It glows violet, shedding light in a 15-foot radius. An icicle can function as a single-use dagger (mêlée or missile); otherwise, it lasts 6 turns (1 hour) before crumbling or melting.]

Very wise.
{NARRHIL +50XP.]
The pale light shines into a 10 foot wide room and falls off at the end of a long table in the middle of the space.
There are 2 broken out windows 15 ft high up on the left wall.

Votin pushes the lectern closer to edge of the dais near the fire tipping it over far enough away as to not put the fire out. If the lectern doesn't break Votin hacks it into manageable pieces.

Super smart.

The brittle wood brings the dying fire back to life, a much welcome warmth to Votin's bones.
In lieu of a winter coat, these flames will do for now.

Narrhil moves further into the room, he examines the windows, whether they wooden framed or iron. He would cut the skin from the two wolves and then secure their skins to the windows to stop any drafts.
He searches for a secure area from the cold, Votin had mentioned a downstairs but also mention destroying its door.
[OOC: are the others well, he not sure how they look, but if they going swimming, he can cast Cold Resistance on the swimmer? Or just to help them endure the harsh treatment of the freezing wand].

Votin returns to the raised dais and holding the axe with both hands probes the murky water.
"Keep an eye on the water should we disturb something mean and nasty!"

A step inside the space and the fragile light falls up on the back wall
=13pxof the 10 x 20 ft room. Its stone walls are blackened with soot.
=13pxA long charred table centers the room beneath the 2 broken out windows 15ft high on the far wall.
=13pxInside the far wall, a large kettle hangs at the end of a long chain disappearing up the fireplace.
A small wooden door hangs from its hinges in the right corner. The skin of the wolves remains intact on their hides back in the main room, and the windows are much too high over your head to affix anything.

Votin lowers the axe into the murk. He has not reached a bottom as his hands are fractions away from the frigid filth.

Votin withdraws the axe...not particularly fond of rank water...he looks under the dais for the source of the water.

The dais is made of stone and built with the floor.

Votin looks around for loose stone and perhaps some rope laying about, maybe downstairs?

Votin can't find any loose stone here.
There is rope tying the pews to the front doors.
There is no downstairs atop the dais.

Votin leaves Tillak atop the Dais and joins Narrhil in the next room.
The room is freezing but at least the roof is intact and the constant rain of snow is off his head. Though it is hard for the warrior to abandon the warmth of the fire just renewed by the dry wood.
There is a strange glowing Icicle rising from Narrhil's palm, casting just enough voilet light to almost see into the dark corners of the space.

Votin remember watching Narrhil cut ten feet of rope off a long coil from his back pack to tie pews, he would have more with him...
Narrhil wonders if the table could be moved to against the wall so he could reach the windows.
He also thinks he as been away from his comrades for too long and returns to them at the dais. He will provide light for them, in this blizzard the fading fire will be no use and it foolish to waste the wood, the should break what is left and store in the roofed room so it dries properly...
Edit: Double post with Iron, Narrhil can return with Votin and provide him light...
