Tillak examines the scabbard, then extinguishes his torch, lays down in the drawer, and pulls the handle.

The bottles are the same as Votin found near the dead priest. They are not marked in any way but there are many dozens lining all these shelves filled with a pinkish liquid.

Votin makes a mental note of the bottles and then goes to check out the stairwell, trying to move noiselessly listening for any hint of occupation.

The steps are cut out of the wall itself. It's a tight fit leading up about 15 ft.

Does Tillak remember if the handles glowed when Votin entered the device?

Tillak could not see inside the drawer when Votin was exploring it.

The steps are quite steep and crudely cut from the stone. The narrow passage climbs up 15ft. and ends in a wooden door on Votin's left. The door is covered in scratch gouges.

Tillak could not see inside the drawer when Votin was exploring it.

The left handle doesn't turn. But the right handle turns and the drawer begins to close. Tillak barely has enough time to withdraw his arm from inside.

The scratches are concentrated about waist high. They do not appear to be made by anything rather sharp.
An ear to the door hears only silence.

The dagger fits between the stone and the wood, but running it around the edges is fruitless.
