There is nowhere to hide on the beach.
I thought we'd climbed the hill first, but this might be better.
So Kondor is dressed. His sword in one hand, he helps Tillak beach his canoe, and watches over his companions as they dress and prepare themselves.
"I don't see that stranger. Maybe they're fighting over which of them will get to sacrifice him? If they're both serving sorcerous masters, if we let them kill him it'd be trouble for us down the road. Also, of course, I don't think I can leave anyone else to die at the hands of these savage creatures."

Helios finally breaks the treeline, warmth and nostalgia suddenly overcoming Kondor, Gundrabu, and Tillak.

Something awkward has to be there. Like, the underoos are superhero underoos; but it's not one of the cool ones, it's the Beyonder from the 80s.

Votin stands at the ready holding his axe but stares in amazement as beastmen surround him and appear to be defending him.
The din of thier barking drowns out any other noise and he lowers his guard just a bit also wondering if he can escape this mess.
"What's going on?" he asks hoping for an answer.Votin struggles to understand why these beastmen move to protect him when every ounce of his being knows that they are responsible for taking his sister. Suddenly there is chaos as the the strange, clothed beastmen move en masse to attack to circle!
[Votin roll initiative, state intention]
The beastmen raises his hefty metal club, staring down the young barbarian with a murderous gaze!

While waiting for the newcomer, Kondor checks to see if the Jackalope's paw works - perhaps he can regain some health from the heirloom, so that the barbarian can do something to help the others!

Kondor rubs the paw on his wounds but it seems its blessings have been spent.

It must only work when the wearer is in greatest need - and Kondor has a healer present.
Kondor resigns himself to doing nothing but waiting, to see how the newcomer's fate works out.
ooc: 1hp, no healing spells, and there's maybe a monster coming soon. We've got to book it, or find some ranged weapons.

The beastman twists suddenly as the mighty blade cleaves through its shoulder, removing the arm completely! Screaming in agony it drops to the ground at Votin's feet. It grasps desperately at the spurting stump in shock.

Where is Tillak? Is he still on the water?
“Tillak! I believe this is your gear here! Have you mine?”

Gundrabu looks for Tillak and his canoe and will paddle to him if he’s in the water.

Tillak landed at the beginning of last round.

Gundrabu gathers an armful of Tillak’s gear — or all of it, if it is fairly contained — and hastens to Tillak on the strand.

Kondor looks around on the ground for a rock he can throw at the beast men, to distract them from Votin.

The sandy beach is free of rocks and the action is far out of throwing range.
