Freaky Take on Megatherium

So I was working on a vhuurmis lair in a section of Mount Vhuurmithadon for my Dark Treasury campaign tonight and got a jolt of inspiration.  I decided to have the chief's main throne hall guarded by a megatherium magically altered to look like Xathoqqua.  Giant bat sloth toad indeed!  And this isn't one of those namby pamby docile megatheriums....

As a kid I loved the megatherium I had plastic t-rexes that were the bad guys and one megatherium who was the good guy. But I digress. The megatherium was ginormous and must have been very powerful! Great choice.

Re: Freaky Take on Megatherium

Yeah, I had those toy megatheriums too; not sure they still make them.  I still remember when I first started playing D&D and saw how the rust monster and bulette were exactly like toys I had from some pack of "dinosaurs."  Much later I learned that was really where they came from.  That same set had something that looked like an umber hulk crossed with a dragon.
