The body doesn't move when you pull on your rope....

Are there any other back entrances to the church?

Would it... hold my weight? (Pauses while rpg logic arrives, holding hands with madness and irreverence)

I don't know...
I guess that Emral, seeing that it is a human body and only slightly larger in mass than his own, would think it would not...
but he has tugged on that rope for several turns and that body hasn't budged.

I walk over to the east wall

ok, the southeastern section wall is blocked by the wooden belfry, so I'm guessing you mean the northeastern part.

Emral tosses the rope down from the tower to hang off the side of the building. He goes back down and, taking the end of the rope, pulls while moving back. If it still holds, he tries jumping up and hanging off with his full weight, mindful that any give would send a body of dead weight as hard as ice falling onto him. Thus he makes sure to have one leg pushing off the wall to move him out of the way.
“Malak be ready with the jackalope paw, in case that cursed scroll screws up this plan!”
Ooc: which I hope is well thought out enough that the adventure doesn’t end with Emral crushed by a falling iciclergyman...

Emral hangs from the rope, swaying in the breeze!

How tall is the wall?
Emral starts to climb, hand over hand, hoping every step of the way that whatever holds the body in place doesn't give - and kill him!

Correct

The walk over is uneventful. You are there. The stone wall is unremarkable.

These exterior walls are around 20 feet.
Give me a couple d12 rolls...

I come back to the bell tower to watch the warlock

I still don’t know what the d12 means. High? Low?

Let's try to get that door open.
Push together. Break it?

Malak watches as his companion struggles to climb the rope. The warlock drips sweat, his skin flushed with fever, his muscles trembling inside his heavy armor. Emral has made it up a scant 6 ft.

“Not needed (huff) when I get there (cough) I will pull you up (cough) and (huff huff) then...”
Emral drops and rolls, down then to his feet.
“Okay I will help with the door.”

Emral casts Flaming Sphere and burns down the door.
