Saving Throws for Some classes

So I've been rolling up new characters for our initial party and I noticed that cryomancers and pyromancers have -2 to saves vs. fire and cold respectively.  But they both get +2 to saves vs. devices.  So does this mean that if a cryomancer was saving against a wand of fire the bonus/penalty would negate each other?  Or would the penalty still apply?

Re: Saving Throws for Some classes

Great question! A cryomancer would save at +4 vs. a wand of freezing, +2 vs. a wand of paralysis, and ±0 vs. a wand of fireballs.
