We had the opening game of our AS&SH campaign yesterday evening. Fifteen players+GM in all! Ages ranged from 10 to 60s! Our GM, Daniel Vance (wrote The Demon Inn mod) gave us an unconventional start! Our characters are trapped in the bodies of real world psych ward patients in the 1940s. We have just murdered the nurse and orderlies and have escaped the asylum and have headed in to the woods. We are being hunted by 'screaming metal dragons' that summon sorcerers with 'boom sticks!'

Sounds very cool... Thanks for the writeup!

That sounds like a lot of fun. Hyperborea lends itself well to unconventional scenarios across time and space. I'm trying to figure out the best way to link Geoffrey McKinney's planet Carcosa and the Hastur mythos to Hyperborea without being heavy handed. Khromarium seems like a grand prize for The King in Yellow.

I'm moving to Cinci in a few months. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of the gaming scene there!

That could be three groups!! That's great! The intro reminds me of Wolfenstein a bit and sounds superbly creative. I hope you can grow into a thriving community there.

Gateway Games is a fantastic shop! Todd is a longtime supporter of the AS&SH game, and has kept it available in Cincinnati for years now. What an epic group! Fifteen players!
