I got shut down by photobucket, which I was using for a lot of the picture sharing on this forum and elsewhere. I will have to start using another method.

The banner is visible at the top of the page again (as opposed to the Photobucket error message that was there earlier). Progress?

The two panel Xathoqqua artwork looks cool at the top of the forum.

“How can I wear the harness of toil
And sweat at the daily round,
While in my soul forever
The drums of Pictdom sound?”

Death to photobucket!

Crappy pop up ad infested pile of offal.

How laughable. If they don't allow image linking, what use do they suppose a free account is?

Oh well, time to find an alternative. At least I won't have to look at their stupid ads anymore.

I'm using http://www.use.com/ to host an avatar on another forum. It's dirt simple and free.

Progress  . . . maybe. It's hosted by "TinyPic", which, while looking at their terms, I discovered that they are in fact a subsidiary of Photobucket! Maybe a recent acquisition? No clue.

About the illustration above - where did it come from and is there more?

I used that tinypic link that this site suggests when doing an avatar change, seemed to work

It looks like the art Peter Mullen did for the endpapers of the upcoming hardback book.

And there is quite a bit more of it here:

I am trying imageshack. Free trial for 30 days, then pretty cheap afterwards. Seems pretty slick so far.
