Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Can I reach the 2nd body or do I need to stand on something?

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

The first body is at 6ft.
The second body is at 12ft.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Emral gives him a leg up, hoisting him to the first body so that the agile thief can leap up to the next, and the roof after that.

He's having a tough time with the 2 loaded backpacks.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Emral takes off his backpack, and helps Malak remove his own. Then "okay, Malak, up-a-bup." cradles his fingers to hoist the rogue aloft.

It's not Emral's backpack causing trouble. it's Malak's and the new one he's just pilfered.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Emral removes the two backpacks from Malak, then gives him exactly the right pep talk for the task of climbing the rope.

No he doesn't.
I am not climbing that rope with a body attached to it.
Could I scale the wall to get to where the ropes are fastened?

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Or. Could the rope be reached from the bell tower through the hole in the roof?

Emral has his rope tied around the frozen body outside. He opted to do that instead of tie it to the bell tower, and we can't bring it down without untying the loop up top - or pulling the frozen body down, which wastes the useful position of it holding up the rope.

So we can go up this rope (which is firmly on the roof) or we can use Emral's rope (which seems good but the frozen body could come off).

Which is your preference?  Both require climbing but the bodies here would help the climbing as they're kind of a ladder.

No, the hole is in the middle of the ceiling. You would be unable to climb upside down.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

"What's wrong with bodies? I seem to recall your nice new fur was on a body recently. That's a very warm, very fashionable hunk of dead body that's covering you. So these two are picts and human-shaped, so what?

This was covered earlier...Emral considered jumping over onto the roof, but thought better of it when seeing the busted out hole.

I am referring to climbing on the roof outside to the hole in the ceiling.
Unless you want to give me a potion of spider climb

Yes, of course you could attempt to climb the 20 ft exterior wall to get to the roof.

Your poor fingers are dreadfully nearly frostbitten already though.
And I'm not giving out any more potions!

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

I am not too concerned with the hanging bodies. And I am not going to climb them so they can reanimate.
I check the bedding to the north

The room should be nice and toasty from the fireball Emril cast.

It was a Flaming Sphere. Long expelled.
However the bed might warm you, it's still on fire.
