Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

The tiny coin strikes the side of the bell with a tink and falls down below (narrowly missing the top of Emral's head), but not enough to ring the bell.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Can I get a map of the area?

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Do either of us have rope? I’m running around between a wedding and my overnight shift, and I’m not sure.

Admittedly I kind of want to go Indiana Jones with the whip and swing over, because that’s cool. But with rope we’re together and then when monsters attack we have a chance of survival(!), so that would be my priority.

There are no windows on the wall, are there?

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

The only windows are the small, high open windows of the kitchen wall.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Emral loops his rope as securely as he can, then looks for a solid perch to lasso. He throws the loop over and over again until he gets a secure hold, then ties the other end to the tower post.

When convinced that it is safe, he climbs up and across to the rooftop.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Doesn't look like there's a place to loop a rope to anywhere on the roof.
Do you mean one of the snow covered lumps?

I mean... it’s worth a try while we’re up here, sure.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

Emral tosses the lasso rope at the closest lump.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

The rope lands atop the lump...
but slides off without lassoing.

The rope wipes the snow as it falls,
Revealing the frozen face of a man!

I knew it!  Emral tries again to get the lasso on the body and see what else we’re dealing with.

More rolls? He’s going to keep going until he gets at least one of them.

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

After several throws Emral manages to get the lasso around the body.

Pulling it down and lowering it gently to the ground, if possible to do safely. Letting it drop if it’s going to pull me off the tower.

Then investigating it!

Re: The Scorched Sanctuary

You tug on your rope but the body doesn't budge.
