What happens?
Malik chews his stale bread and swallows. After 4 more bites, he finishes it.
Emrals snoring is hypnotic and Malak yawns deeply.

Way too vague. How much time? 2.5 hours?
Is Malak going to sleep at all or fight off the heavy fatigue?

Try as you might to remain awake, you succumb.
Unknown hours later you jolt awake, sure you heard voices.
The sun is long set, and the darkness once again blankets the church.
The fire is out. And Emral still slumbers.

I get up, brush the sleep from my eyes and light another fire in the fireplace.
Chew on some food.,

He doesn't look well.

so at 13 of 22.
Emral wakes to a general malaise. Slight headache, feverish. Sore muscles. Dry throat.
And despite not having any nourishment for many hours, a loss of appetite.

I had him the lucky rabbit's foot to see if this helps him?

Emral takes the Jackalope's Paw in his hands, forcing himself to sit up and rub the paw on himself.
"I just remembered: the rats. One of them bit me. Plus those rusted skeleton daggers. I bet I have some kind of (cough cough) disease. Think our friend St. Jackalope can help me?"

Emral indeed feels wetness beneath his brigadine. Pulling the layer off reveals the wretched bite indeed has renewed seeping. He puts the rabbit claw across the wound and it miraculously seals again before their eyes. But the deep redness surrounding remains...

"Thank, Malak. I think this won't help my disease, but the wounds are healing. I'm worried that if we stay here I might succumb to disease. Unless we can... find a curative. As an alchemist, I can come up with something with the right herbs... if we can find them.  But if it's the plague the villagers caught? Then I'm not sure what we can do. Perhaps... the woman from the pool? The children were immune to the disease, unlike the villagers who stayed away from her. If the priestess could be found... that might be helpful. Maybe... maybe the tunnels below.  We should deconstruct the wood of those walls, and look for a tunnel. Or maybe just burn through it?"
Emral makes himself get up and get a scrap of ash from the fireplace, then finds a clear place on the floor. He draws lines that eventually look like the temple they're in.
"Here is the kitchen, here is the courtyard, and what I presume is the bell tower you mentioned. The pool tunnel, here, is east of the cellar we discovered. Is there any chance you saw a well along with the bell tower? That would likely feed or collect from the pool room that drained. So maybe that's a sign of where else we can look, or where we could find the remains of the priestess - and whatever the source of the curse she was fighting (or causing, though I hope not) is to be found."

Does Emral have his spells prepared? If not then he does it now.

Noted. And if he eats, both of you should subtract a ration or figure out how much edible wolf remains after whatever woodland creature came through here while you were in the cellar.

I retrieve the rabbit's foot and warm myself by the fire.
Should we head around to the back of the Chapel?
Can I get a map visual?

Let’s go around the south side. I want to see the other side of the area.
