Emral is considering giving malak and his rabbit foot some privacy.
“Do you have lock smith tools? Do you have a crowbar in the kit?”

What does rubbing my rabbit's foot do?
No tools. Lets pry with dagger and sword.

The rubbing does nothing more.

I hold it in my hands and concentrate on it.

You sense it might be safer from Emral in your pocket.

I feel like he’s going to want Emral to turn around. “I can’t go when someone’s watching!” “Dang it malak, you couldn’t do this upstairs before we got down here?!” “I didn’t have to go when we were upstairs.” “You’re not going down here either.” “Because everyone is watching me! It’s too much pressure for my lucky rabbits foot!” E: sighs. M: I think I can get it to work. Maybe if I relax? Almost? You turned around yet?” “<hums song about a rabbit>”

I rub the rabbit's foot on my cheeks and talk to it.
"I know you have something for me"

Nothing happens.

Knock on walls to see if one is hollow.

Walls are solid.

Solid, sure, but does it sound like there's soil on the other side or another room?
Emral climbs up to the pool, grabs the iron dagger of the child-skeleton, then goes back down to see if they can pull out nails from the boards.
Offline

Doesn't sound hollow.
Does Emral pry the crude, angled nails from the oak boards in the corners, or from the bowed ash boards in the center of the room?

How big is the area covered by either? And are the ash boards likely easier to work out, or will the crude corner nails be more easily reached?

The room is 10 x10. Each wall has around 10 boards vertically 2 oak - 6 slightly bowing ash - 2 oak.
All nails are crude iron. They are nailed at a sharp angle into the next board.

I rub the rabbits foot on the blade of my dagger.

You're starting to feel like it wants to get into Emral's pocket.

I rub it on my bow. Then the arrows!

You feel very good about the act.

I rub it on my ear

Sounds scratchy.
