[I'm about to head out on the road, so I'll state intentions and roll initiative now.]

Tillak will continue to swing for the fences!

Initiative => 1d6: 6!

To hit roll => 1d20: 19! => + 1 = 20!

Damage: 1d8: 6 + 2 =:8!

His pick punctures the 2nd soldier's neck causing him to drop his weapon to the ground and clasp at his throat to stop the bloodflow. He falls to his kness gasping but still alive!

The third soldier seeks vengence and swings his bright blade! 11! a near miss.

Votin searches the skeletons foe anything worthwhile and scoops up the knives if they are useful.
He tends to his wounds as best as he can then inspects the tunnel these skeletons came out of.

The torch begins to flicker, nearly forgotten on the stone floor, after the melee ends.
Votin snaps the bone, freeing the decaying cloth bag. It has heft. Carefully peering inside, he sees the gemstones.

He slowly pours them out into his hand, 7 small garnets, which might fetch 100 gold.
Then a large heavy stone the size of a ripe plum falls into his palm - knocking the garnets to scatter on the floor.

Votin's eyes widen- he's staring into the swirl of an impossibly rare and fabled Oriental Emerald!!

[Votin + 7 garnets, +1 Oriental emerald.]
