The handle pulls free and with it a section of the disc wall slides out toward him about 6 feet. Inside the six foot extension is covered in a very old worn cloth, yellowed and threadbare with time. There are 2 identical handles one on each side.

Votin is torn between pulling one handle or the other, he bites down on the end of the torch freeing both hands. Then pulls on both handles equally and slowly exerting pressure.

Since that didn't work Votion tries to rotate the handles from side to side.

Votin inserts the axe handle into the handles for leverage and applies pressure slowly...if that doesn't work he will knock on the door and claim to be a traveling merchant...

There is no door here. There is only the large metal cylindrical disc shape taking up most of the space.
At 6 foot intervals the side of the disc is marked with strange shapes and markings.

Neither of the 2 handles inside the "drawer" moved at all. The handle #3 pulled out of the disc, releasing the drawer.

Not at all.
It is a sheet lined "drawer" 6'x2'x2'.
There are 2 opposite "handles" inside.
