Turn left, go around the outside of the building? but wary of danger, as it's a hostile environment.

Does Malak use daggers or a sword, or is he an archer?

The red daybreak shines onto the entrance doors. After dragging Olo to the wall out of entrance, Emral joins Malak in creeping around to the North wall of the church. The air is still and dead, only the rare call of a lost bird flown too close to this forgotten place.
The north outer wall of the church is stone, 20 ft high. and extends the full length of the building - 60ft.

Emral looks for tracks in the snow, and for the windows of the chamber they had slept in; and from there the bell tower Malak had reported.

You have rounded the north face of the church as previously described. As you see on the map, the windows are not on this wall.
There are no footprints of any kind in the sheet of sleet that covers the ground.

Head west and look around the corner. Still cautious, going slowly.

You creep down the 60 ft long side of the church, both craning your necks to spot the belfry but the church is too tall.
Peeking around the corner you finally see the majesty of Shankshill in the distance, bathed in the rising rays of red light, a spire to the heavens.
And behind the church, 5 ft away from you, a rusted wrought iron fence surrounds a large unkempt plat of dead waist-high grasses.

Although he throws a mean dagger, as evidenced by Reen the cutthroat and his Red Sash band of thugs back on Stench Row Alley...

I disbelieve.

No prints up around the bell tower or gate?
Offline
You cannot see any gate from the corner of the church.
Malak saw the wooden belfry by looking out of the windows, which are on the other side of the building from where you are. Take another look at the last map I posted #329.

Let's head to the Wooden belfry! Slowly. Cautious. And looking for tracks in the snow.

You creep around the building and run into the rusted wrought iron gate after 5ft.
The dried dead grasses within hide headstones which glisten with the melting sleet.
There is no gate here. Or tracks.

Malak can now see another building across a small courtyard behind the church.

Emral follows.
(I’m with kid in hospital. Easy to follow on phone, hard to post adequately, but will do my best. I’m voting that we stay out of the grave yard until after we’ve covered the entire temple ruin, as that’s crossing over yet another threshold with the first zone not yet cleared. If it’s defiled, we’ll be overwhelmed by undead!)

Agreed
Lets walk around the graveyard to the bell tower.
Slowly. Cautiously. Looking for tracks. Bow drawn

You walk around the wrought iron fence. You find a gate wrenched open at the rear. A small animal path leads through the high grasses into the church, where beyond the graveyard you see the belfry standing in a small courtyard flanked by the north and south wings of the church.
Prints in the sleet lead both into the graveyard and away - off into the unknown environs of the great Shankshill.
