Kondor looks at the wall near the entrance, as he's standing behind Sol with the lantern to help him.
Are any of the holes missing their phials?

Yes, many.

Was there an empty phial on the floor near Emrals body, and if so did it look like this one?
Kondor is impressed by Sol’s skill, and asks “Do the stairs cause the stuff to pour out? If not then maybe it’s safe to pass through. Odd that the phials would be so easy to see for a trap. Maybe it’s like a wine cellar, but for blessed waters?”

No, there were no phials at Emral's body, but there were 3 phial-shaped dustless places on the floor near the incense sticks and overturned bowl.

Sol will look back into the hole that he took the phial from. Is there anything behind the phial?
"These could be poison phials, perhaps they were designed to be pushed out of the holes and smashed on the floor? (then vaporize into poison gas or something)"

That hole is now empty, like many of the others.

"I think this isn't a trap. Maybe it's just... a wine cellar for whatever this stuff is? In that case, let's go down." Kondor waits until Sol is out of the way then goes down ahead of the others, as originally planned.

Tetranna relights her tallow taper and holds the light close to the phial Sol holds. "What is it, Magic thief?"

The Ixian holds out a hand too withered by toil and weather for her young years, and its dark skin stained a light green, betraying too close a reliance on her leaves...
"Want me to give a sniff for you?"

Kondor hands her the phial.

Kondor rips the phial from Sol's hand and passes it back to Tetranna. She carefully holds the slender glass to her candle and peers at the liquid inside, then gives it a vigorous shake. Squinting, she slowly pulls the cork free and holds the opened end to her nose.
Satisfied, she pours the contents into her grimy mouth. She swishes around for a moment then spits everything (including the bits of rotted meat and foliage freed from between her remaining teeth) onto the stone step.
"Water. A bit mineralish for my taste."
She hands the empty phial back to Sol.

“With the pool above, maybe it’s a water religion?” Kondor muses, thinking about the dais with the hole that was dug up but filled with mud, and of the various water and moon priestesses of his tribe who had met around pools of water.
“Let’s see what more we find down below.” Kondor leads the way down.
Ooc: merry holidays, what ever you celebrate.

Kondor continues down the narrow stair, his lantern light falling deep into the darkness. Though after three or four more steps the stairwell within the wall narrows even tighter and his bulking figure feels the constriction of carrying both his lantern and his sword...
Sol watches as Tetranna sneaks a half-dozen or so glass phials from several more holes and hides them away inside her bearskin. She holds up her candle and pushes against Sol, "What's the matter with you, magic thief? Are you asleep with your eyes wide open? Let's go."

Sol starts. "Yes, of course...after you."
Sol will grab one or two of the phials at random behind Tetranna as the party leaves.

Sol quickly grabs 2 of his own vials.
Sol add 20XP.
Tetranna add 60XP.
Sol and Tetranna pile in behind the cramped Barbarian...

Can Kondor not go sideways down the stairs? Lantern held up above his head, sword pointing forward?

Barely; the narrow stairwell in the wall is hardly 2 feet wide.
Kondor's armored, sinewy bulk makes for a very tight fit.

Kondor inches down the stair. Sol and Tetranna not a step behind.
