Just found assh and have introduced the family, they love it. I have one question. The thief ability bonus section is dominated by Dex, 6 of 9 categories. Just wondering if anyone had considered that the hide score should be adjusted for INT rather than DEX?

Welcome!! There are cases where it could either. Just award a bonus as a referee to the character with a high Int in those circumstances. That is completely within your scope. Make Hyperborea yours.

Seems reasonable, and in that process the Strength bonus could be used for Climb, help them big barbarians scaling walls.

Welcome to AS&SH! You'll find the rules are very easy to tweak as you see fit.

One thing worth mentioning is that DEX is the prime requisite for thieves, so most players will probably put their highest score there for the XP bonus. Changing more of the thief skills to use something other than DEX for a bonus will make it less likely that bonuses will be received. (Not that this is the end of the world or anything, but it's always good to look for possible unintended consequences of rule changes.)
