Hold Action

Hi everyone, new to AS&SH and this forum. I have a question about hold action. On page 244 it is described as sort of a delay, or readied action, which is easy enough to understand. But when looking at the Comprehensive Combat Sequence tables (pages 246, 247) it seems like it means something different. For example, in Missiles 1/1, if you Fire in Phase One, you can choose to Move 1/2, or hold action in Phase Two. Well, hold what action? You already took your action for the round. Should it just say "Nothing" or "--" or "N/A" in all of those instances? Can someone explain what I am missing here?

Edit: Another example is on page 254 in Magic and Movement, where it says "Consider it a forced hold action, if you please." That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Seaching further, I found Maezar's Combat Actions sheet (https://hyperborea.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=179), in which he calls it "Wait", which seems to make a lot more sense.

Re: Hold Action

Yes, that's basically it. Sometimes your character will move wit the intent of performing some other action at the end of the round (phase 2) but by the time your guy gets there, something has changed, so you hold your action (or "wait" as Maezar put it).
