Hello all,

Our conversation about initiative and actions inspired me to make this sheet.
Is this helpful? Is it correct? Is it complete?

Happy Birthday Dear Ghul!!
In Hyperborean years, you'll be what... about 3 and a half?

I have a question about CHARGING with multiple attacks. A swordsman with two attacks this round performs a "1/2 move charge," slaying an opponant in one blow. Can he then:

a) Make an immediate second attack against a second adjacent enemy, applying the +2 Damage Bonus?

b) Make a second "1/2 move charge" in Phase 2 to reach and attack a different enemy farther off?

Thanks Joseph. I've converted the WEAPONS table so it uses NAMED RANGES for v1.08. Hopefully this will solve the problem! I will also lower the font size by 1/2 point to ensure that the feats fit in all systems.

All,

Sheet version 1.07 is on the web site. It corrects a problem with the Casting Ability of the Purloiner, and adds some buttons in the interface allowing you to easily Unprotect and Protect the sheet at will.

Unprotection is required for you to type freely into LANGUAGES, SKILLS, HAIR, and other fields which use dropdowns to make SUGGESTIONS. I'm planning a better solution for this, but it may take some time as I want to finish the SPELLS first.

I also added a note reminding you to enter EQUIPMENT weight in decimal form rather than as fractions. Fractions break the cell format when Excel falsely imagines that you are entering a date.

Finally, (embarassed,) I corrected the spelling of "Sorcerers" in the header graphic.

I think this is a good summary:

Even with more than one attack, you don't have to split them between phase 1 and phase 2.

All,

I'm working on finishing the short spell summaries for the Character Sheet of Wondrous Automation.
It's quite a project and will take me weeks to complete. No stopping now!!!

If you own the AS&SH game and like to help with this, let me know via a PM and I will send you the template.

Thanks,

-M

Ghul, will you please shed some light on this passage from the rules, perhaps with an example or two?"If a melee combatant is entitled to multiple attacks, these may be made together; i.e., if a fighter with two attacks has won initiative against the monster he faces, he may make both attacks before the monster."

I am beginning work on a printable sheet that will hopefully help you and your players easily adopt the AS&SH turn sequence.

How about combat that's not really combat? I love the idea of opposing forces being resolved metaphorically in metaphysick "battles" which take place entirely in the minds of the characters.
I always wanted to handle wizardly ascension similar to that of druids using this approach...

Or is it that you're simply tired of rolling "to hit"?

Yes, Excel 2007 is likely the issue. The sheet was developed in 2011 and tested in 2010 and 2013. These areas must be using features not supported in the older version. Unfortunately, I don't have 2007 to test with. I'll make a note that v2010 or newer are required.

Fighter: I believe that the the altar and these robes are a ruse, and that should we follow the instructions for sacrifice, something will happen.

Thief: Maybe the statue will come to life. We should defeat it. It could be tough though.

Paladin: (Yes, he thought he was role-playing): I volunteer to wear the chains. What's the worst that could happen? (He actually said that). Maybe I'll be teleported somewhere and you'll find me later when you go down the stairs...

Ref: You might consider that your code of conduct might prevent you from even being involved in a ritual related to a god of chaos.

Paladin: I don't care. We're doing this.

Ref: OK... Just don't blame me if your ability to use healing hands suddenly stops working... or worse!

Warlock: I'm not so sure about all this, but as long as you're not asking me to get up there I'll read the words. 'I wish the goblins would take you away... right now. (Laughter!)'

Ref: Straight-faced. OK, so tell me what happens here.

....

And then it happened. They did it! They sacrificed their Paladin to Aurorus!!! Zzzzzt. Gone.

"and... he disappears,"
(Laughter) "IT WORKED!"
Paladin: "So where am I"
Ref: "Alright so he disappears. Now what do you do."

(I decided that Arrvic the Paladin had become part of the raw stuff of chaos itself... had not retained any sense of identity or being... was not in some after life but had been "entropized" by Aurorus in a gesture of meaninglessness.)

It was some while later that the thief said.

"Uhhh....  Did anyone notice how they didn't like, go into the next room to talk about where he found himself?"

When I conspicuously ignored questions asked by the Paladin's player he began to get the point.

When we all broke character, someone said, "I guess it's a good thing that your Excel sheet allows us to roll

Well.... it happened.
I wonder if anyone else has ever had the players actually go through with a sacrifice of one of their own to Aurorus?

Hi Joseph,
I can't reproduce either of those isses. Feat of Dex not displaying could indicate that the correct fonts are not loaded. (Check the ReadMe.) For Weapons, you'll need to select a CLASS first, but since FIGHTER defaults, it should always work to that extent.

That "Separate Sheet" becomes inevitable for all character records, I think.
Though I do believe that a good "Play Notes and Ready Reference Sheet" could be combined quite nicely ;-)
