It's just something I've given thought to from time to time. The thought usually occurs to me when someone asks me what the name of the game is that I'm involved with. It is a mouthful. But I do like the idea of downplaying the AS&S part. Sort of the way comics did it during the Bronze Age. I can't seem to post a picture right now, but "Astonishing Tales Featuring DEATHLOK The Demolisher" shows the kind of logo trade dress I'm talking about.

You mean like this:

Because that would be awesome (and the smaller map will also be very welcome).

Assuming this is the thread for suggestions, I think a small map in gazetteer would be handy as well - an artistic representation like you'd see in a sword and sorcery novel (not a truly functional hexmap for gaming). I suggest this because I have been traveling a lot lately, reading the books and wishing I had an easy way to locate cities and geographical features without having the whole fold out map with me. Anyway, maybe something to throw in the pot.

I agree with this. It would be very useful.

I second (third?) this suggestion.

I also hope to keep them worried enough about getting out alive that they don't have too much time for intra-party squabbling. The mountain ape just doesn't care what alignment you are!

That's how I see it but even then, without much effort from my part inter-party conflict will happen.

Thing is I don't care since my players seem to enjoy it. The player using the Paladin is best buddy with the Necromancer. I know that eventually their character will clash but so do they and they seem to look forward to it way more than I do.

Hi, mi name is Anibal and I'm from Puerto Rico. I started playing RPG with D&D's Black Box. I been playing since 1991 non-stop but due to Real Life my gaming has been reduced to one session per month.

Right now my favorites versions of D&D (and some of my favorites games overall) are AS&SH and DCC.

Grettings!

I was wondering how other Judges deal with parties as diverse like the one mentioned on the title of this thread.

Do you restrict the classes allowed on the game? You don't worry about it at all?

When I find myself in this situation I request my players to come up with a backstory of how their characters with such distinct backgrounds know each other and why they work together (they don't have to like each other but must comply with at least those 2 points).

Inquiring minds want to know and thanks for reading.

Sadly there are some corners marks but nothing critical.

My plan is to get a second copy down the line for collecting but right now my box is showing signs of use and travel.
