Thanks DM_Soda, I hadn't heard of gates of Slumber before.

I've had  'Surtur Rising' and 'Twilight of the Thunder God' (by Amon Amarth), as well as  'Mare Nostrum' and 'The Gorgon Cult' (by Stormlord) on rotation for a long while now - great albums.

Playtest!...hopefully we'll get to read about the high adventures of Assiminik, Shara and Haluman again, they're great characters :] Wow, they are great photos, love your minis and the use of stones for rubble and broken pillars. The rows of Chthullu statues flanking the passageway look rather ominous. Thanks for sharing Caveman.

...and pics from a couple of games where I used the lighbox from work, layered it with yellow and orange cellophane, to help create a hellish, lava-filled environment in the bowels on some slumbering volcano :]

From an older game when we were running LabyrinthLord (AdvancedEditionCompendium Rules). I was very much inspired by C.A.Smith, and shrines to tssathoggua started popping up more frequently in my games :]

Hi Handy Haversack, thanks for the welcome message on the introduction thread. A mixture of props went into the setup - the walls are dwarvenforge (from an earlier kickstarter), a mixture of WotC card dungeon tiles we incorporated and a vibrant assortment of terrain and foliage were sourced from my sons giant tub of dinosaurs from ToysareUs :]

I must learn to do a proper write up at the end of each adventure, but I did have some pics of the Hyperborea game I set up not long ago...

The ravings of a madman who saw a vine-claimed city in his feverish dreams, spurned our intrepid heroes to delve deep into the Hyperborean jungles in search of ancient treasures...

The party survived deadly traps and the venemous attacks of the secretive sepentfolk. They found unfamilar coins (of gold and silver,) an ensorcelled blade (whose true purpose has yet to reveal itself), some atlantean tech and a cache of scrolls in the vile language of snakemen. Greater prizes await them in the lower levels of a half submerged tomb; interred with the mummified remains of a long forgotten serpent-king. They’ll have to wrench it from his bony claws first...

It's a solid little adventure. Love the name of the escaped villain in the story :]

I'm a graphic designer by trade (and can illustrate) so if you ever do want it layed-out, give me a good few weeks notice and I'll happily put it together for you for free; least I can do in exchange for the great little module I now have :]

This is brilliant thanks! Making the carrion crawler sacred to the cultists and freely swimming around in the dark pool of the cavern is rather nightmarish. thinking of running this as the introductory game before before dropping them into 'Ghost Ship of the desert dunes next month :]

Hi Rastus, good to see someone here from just across the Tasman Sea.
Not sure if it was the most ideal location to place Saltmarsh but I dropped it along the Lizard Coast, in anticipation of the tribe of lizardfolk (if the party decided to progress through to Danger at Dunwater). The surrounding marshlands helped :] An incident with rotgrubs almost proved fatal to the Viking fighter; Thankfully the quick thinking Atlantean mage cast a sleep spell to subdue the parasites and their host, allowing the legerdemainist and cleric to perform some delicate surgery (and subsequent healing) on the warrior. An additional sleep spell granted the legerdemainist the chance to gather and place a number of the vile critters into a fine glass jar. This bottle was subsequently smashed on the cavern floor (behind the illusionist) who unfortunately was knocked prone by the viking warrior onto the shattered glass. The recently freed rotgrubs relished the opportunity to burrow into the illusionist's back, spelling his end  {:]

Great suggestion, I'm keen to run Barrier Peaks as a AS&SH adventure one day when the PCs get a few more levels under their belts. I ran Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh as their introductory game (with a few tweaks), it worked well in Hyperborea :]

Hi guys. currently playing in two biweekly campaigns - a DCC game as well as a 5e reskinning of Castle Greyhawk. Wish I had more time available, but managing to squeeze in an AS&SH campaign that I run once a month, as well as a LL/Advanced Edition Companion adaption of Night Below for my kids which is an absolute blast. Just received my Hyperborean Adventure 3pk and am very keen to run more AS&SH (using these modules) with holidays around the corner. :]
