Hi all,

im thinking of running a one shot game at a local con in the UK later this year, especially as interest seems to have been sparked given the 3e Kickstarter. I’m guessing it would be mostly beginning players.  Which of the published modules would people recommend - something that would fit well into a 3 hour slot.? A bit of research suggests maybe the Brazen Bull but I’d welcome any other suggestions.

Interesting, I did feel the phasing needed to be made more intuitive and I think this does it and yet retains the crunch and tactical feel. Nice !

is there still a statement of intent and so spellcasters will be affected by missiles before declared spells go off ?

I can heartily recommend the BBC audio drama series called Tumanbay. It’s an epic of politics, intrigue and skullduggery in an imaginary world inspired by the Mamluks of Egypt. There’s no fantasy - its ‘alternative normal’ but it’s got plenty of sultans, mad priests, mysterious prophets, marauding armies, thieves ,pirates, vast deserts etc. This is the link for the UK and I think you can get it as a podcast outside of Britain

Hi all, thanks for letting me join. I’m Simon and from the uk. I’m  just getting back into roleplaying after a 35yr break (returning thanks to The Grognard Files podcast - if you haven’t listened, it’s great). Im currently running a pulp Cthulhu game but fancied going back to D&D , however the new edition doesn’t do it for me. My roots are totally AD&D 1ed and my favourite fantasy author has always been CAS (my dad bought me Lost Worlds back in the 70s and it’s inspired me ever since). So I was overjoyed to discover that this game exists ! May be some time before I get to run a game but I’m feeling very excited by the thought of putting a campaign together.
