Ric Flair

I kind of feel like the man deserves his own thread here in Hyperborea off topic. Woo!

Re: Ric Flair

To be the man you gotta beat the man!

Just recently I was running my group through Castle Amber.  I rolled a Living Statue as a wandering monster and decided it was a depiction of a wrestler.  As it hit with one strike I described it as a chop and said "Wooo!"  but no one got it - apparently my players aren't fans of real sports!

That's pretty hilarious.

I was surprised to find Slick Ric is still alive. Most of these guys are dead. I used to love Bam Bam Bigelow, R.I.P.

Re: Ric Flair

Yeah man, RF's alive and kickin' here in Charlotte. I have seen him out at different restaurants many times. I never bother him.

Re: Ric Flair

Wow!  I was always hoping to see him out and about when I lived down there.  He was having some pretty hard times around then though so maybe he was laying low.    His daughter is now wrestling under the ring name of Charlotte and is billed from the Queen City.

Re: Ric Flair

So I had this crazy idea today - making a Ric Flair style video myself- Hyperborea style based on this classic interview.

I'd have to get pretty drunk to do it, but I have a mullet wig (the Kentucky Waterfall model), and some appropriate eye covers.

I would be calling out people here like Donovan though instead of Dusty Rhodes, and naming towns in Hyperborea like Khromarium and Port Greely instead of Miami Beach and Pensacola etc.
Proclaiming myself as the 'World Champion of Hyperborea'. (There can only be One..)

Others could then do a response video if they like to it, talking some trash etc.

Probably wont do it, but we'll see....
