I'm a pretty big William Gibson fan. I bet you this would be some cool gaming  times if you could find a group to run it with

Re: Scaly's big thread of random rabble

its getting harder and harder to find high proof pomegranite wine where I live; this saddens me, especially now that I have a Hyperboria Campaign in full swing.

"We alone of all mankind, who are sorcerers of high attainment and mastery, may endure the lethal ice-change and become breathers of the airless void, and thus, in the end, be made suitable for the provender of such as Rlim Shaikorth." sounds great unless you know what Provender means.

Re: Scaly's big thread of random rabble

I hear you, I feel fortunate to live in WA state where a lot of things are legal (everything except plastic shopping bags and styrofoam take out boxes). I find it easy to place myself in a fantasy mind set.

Re: Scaly's big thread of random rabble

The guy pictured in the above screenshot I didn't recognize offhand because he looks much different in the role that made him famous.

3 geek cred points if you can name his very famous character name from a very famous sci fi movie (2 movies actually)
'
10 geek cred points if you can give his actual real name

(this would be without watching the video because he says his name in the video)

I have no geek cred points!

Me neither. The answer though is David Bowman (from 2001, 2010), actor's name is Keir Dullea

You just have to picture the guy with short hair and no mustache and saying '"open the bay doors HAL"...

Re: Scaly's big thread of random rabble

Great find, Scaly. Now I want to watch all of these. A quick research shows that Harlan Ellison was not happy with the direction and some of the budget cuts, so he used an alias, but I'm still interested.
