The Tuesday Night Crew vs. Casa de Gizmo's House of Death

Tomorrow (March 20, 2018) we start a new AS&SH campaign at Gizmo's house.  We'll be joined by my 15 year old son.

I'll post the player's perspective here.

Re: The Tuesday Night Crew vs. Casa de Gizmo's House of Death

LAst tuesday night we assembled the party, and headed out of Kromarium into the Lug Waste, searching for lost children and "little people".

No dice were rolled in anger. http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/furious.png

We did encounter one witch and are bound to find another.

Tonight we re-assemble and look for trouble!

Didn't happen. Tornado warnings and scheduling conflicts.  Hoping we convene tuesday.

2nd session TPK.

Gizmo's House of Death was more aptly named that I had otherwise thought.

By fire beetls of all things. The worms of ymir didn't help.

I guess the bloody mary I was drinking was an ill omen...not that I'll stop drinking them at sessions now. :-)

Well, until I run out of the tomato juice we canned last year.

What? Me worry?

TPK's from dungeon vermin are the most ignominious kind. Good job! http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/lol.png

(Of course, there's a certain amount of bad faith involved in my making statements like that, since I've only ever had one TPK... and that was when the players knew it was the last session of the campaign, and they were trying to get killed on purpose...) http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/cute.png

"The fear of death, its risk each time, is one of the most stimulating parts of the game. It therefore behooves the referee to include as many mystifying and dangerous areas as is consistent with a reasonable chance for survival." - J. Eric Holmes

Shitty rolls and I guess we just barged into the room, instead of making use of chokepoints (I know better than that).

Yeah, that's about the best way to sum it up.
