Has this area been developed further than what we can find in the core book? Either officially or unofficially?

I did some work on New Vinland, adding settlements and populations, etc.

Hi everyone, I’m the person responsible for the written text of the Xambaala adventure. Jeff (gently) cajoled me out of message board slumber in order to briefly say ‘hi’. Anyway, I’m very pleased to see that the Kickstarter is doing so well, and there is such vigorous support for it here

Congratulations and happy feasting!

Hyperborean Poetry

Arimaspea and O Hyperborea:

Here:

The Arimaspea is a poem by Aristeas; a Greek Chronicler (lived in the 7th century BC). Some of the poem was missing and I added the rest. The other poems are done by me!

I did these about 6 months ago, but started doing something else and not remember to add (I working at Conan stuff at present).

Where exactly did you put this land?

I use Flickr myself, how did you link the picture Tortuga? been trying to work that problem for last month or so...

Thanks, Caveman.  It's the upper portion of the peninsula jutting out from the mainland southward from the Gal Hills region, right across the mountains from the city of Gal itself.  On the main map, it is undeveloped- with only the forest shown.  The towns are my own homebrew, as are the names of the adjoining bays.  At this point it's sparsely detailed, as my immediate goal is to set up a small sandbox with just a few hooks to get a game going.  I'll be able to edit in more detail as the campaign progresses- if the characters stick around the region for any length of time.  My general concept of the peninsula at the moment:  Very sparse human population with just a few mostly Keltic towns / villages.  There are Viking settlements (outliers from New Vinland) on the peninsula's lower end- Thorp-thull is visible, and there may be one or two more off the Western edge of the map.  And of course there are monsters, and ruins (Roman, most likely).

As for linking a Flickr photo:  On the photo's page, click the share button.  Click on the "BBCode" tab.  From the drop down menu, choose an image size to share.  I usually just pick one of the "medium" options.  Copy the text that appears in the box.  This text can be pasted directly into a forum post here.  That's it.  No need to use the image button or use any other code.  It's not necessary, but you can delete the second link in the copied text.  If you leave it, it'll add a line of text under the photo:  "Photo by Caveman on Flickr... blah blah blah."  The method works well in a photo sharing forum I use, and I wasn't sure it would work here.  But, alas, it does!

Good to know, had read another of your post

INORITE!?

The fucking awesome art is just so damn awesome. I bound the first edition and used some Frazetta art for the covers and I still think these are better.

Yes, indeed, I use a lot of Frank's art when I can for a lot of the PDFs I create!

The Yig priest looks good!

Cheers, I thought to add some personal objects, like the staff and dagger as it obviously suits the Character, these I guess could also be used as holy symbols. Though perhaps if they are lost, they can be replaced or cult could insist they be replaced by Mystic of Yig or to seek new owner and destroy them and restore favour, etc. Best leave to individual GM to decide such fate!

Yes, I was planning to add, but was rushed as my lunch had been place on the table as I was posting stuff!

Sure I will add to documents this afternoon and re-post! No problem!

Cheers now BA, not know why it fail yesterday, I had tried to download it and it also had mentioned error, but seems like it working today, nice hex map, guess you are layer pictures? As heraldry shields, etc. are unblemished, fantastic!!!

Thanks! I use Campaign Cartographer 3 Plus, which is an autocad program with the graphical elements put on "sheets" which can then have effects applied to them (such as transparency or glow). It was an easy matter to put the grid sheet below the heraldry, text, compass rose, and city marker sheets, and above everything else. It took maybe five minutes to add the grid.

Getting the map to export correctly is another story! http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/smile.png

Nice 1...

Just did a search on it and the got site, so no more questions... It looks very good, though.

Yes, that a future stage for me; is how to make bigger maps and store and work on them in my Win10 computer (with Photoshop10), because the actual program I use is on a win2000xp old computer (with an old program: Photostudio 5.5, which I think is better than PS10) and it a little slow with the big stuff!

Hmm.

How did I not notice the Mystic of Aurorus...

I tried a Mystic of Yig somewhere, I try and look for it!

Not sure what is happening BA, but I getting an error message trying to download map, can you sort at your side?

Do you mean that you're seeing a big "error" message when you first click on the link? That's because the file is too large for mediafire to display a preview. To see the map you will actually have to download it (click on "download" at the upper right of that screen, then "download" on the next screen). If you're getting an error at that point, I'm not sure what's causing it.

If you don't want to download it because you're worried about viruses, I certainly understand that. I can't guarantee that mediafire doesn't have any.

Cheers now BA, not know why it fail yesterday, I had tried to download it and it also had mentioned error, but seems like it working today, nice hex map, guess you are layer pictures? As heraldry shields, etc. are unblemished, fantastic!!!
