Congrats, old timer! I sent you some new tennis balls for your walker. Let me know when they arrive. Thanks!

Clearly someone's not worried about being made an example of at the NTX ASSH games this year ;)

Happy birthday, Jeff, and may happy returns! :D

Allan.

Vengeance will be mine! ;)

Meh.  Took you YEARS to get me back for that darn White Ape Superior, and then only because the party abandoned me!

It would take something like J.J. Abrams deciding it would be a good idea, followed by his hatchet job of a Conan or Sindbad story.  But we'd certainly be flooded with imitators shortly thereafter.

Shitty rolls and I guess we just barged into the room, instead of making use of chokepoints (I know better than that).

2nd session TPK.

Gizmo's House of Death was more aptly named that I had otherwise thought.

LAst tuesday night we assembled the party, and headed out of Kromarium into the Lug Waste, searching for lost children and "little people".

No dice were rolled in anger. http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/furious.png

We did encounter one witch and are bound to find another.

Tonight we re-assemble and look for trouble!

Sunday, whilst driving home across the barren wasteland of north-central Indiana, my wife and I listened to the audiobook version of "Claws from the Night".  Now I know what next year's Lankmar adventure at Gary Con will be.....

Just ordered a paperback edition of "Swords and Deviltry"!

The only thing I've read from him thus far is a short story by the name of "The Sadness of the Executioner" from a sword & sorcery anthology called "Flashing Swords #1" that I recently discovered in my Dad's bookshelf. Anyone read that story or have an opinion on how it relates to the rest of his work?

I've read it, and it's pretty good.  It does have bit of a different point of view than most of the stories, but it does have that tone of dark irony which runs through the series.

Hi Paul!  Was nice to game with you at Gary Con!

It was great gaming with you!  Your Spinecastle game was really awesome, by the way, and it proved that a "Hyperborean" Greyhawk setting works extremely well.  I'm going to try to get a write-up of my Garycon experiences done within a week or two so I can share more details and opinions later.   Would you be up for a separate thread on "Making Greyhawk Hyperborean"?

Sure, but there really isn't a lot to it.

I'm really glad you had a good time, and glad you find I did the setting justice.

Tomorrow (March 20, 2018) we start a new AS&SH campaign at Gizmo's house.  We'll be joined by my 15 year old son.

I'll post the player's perspective here.
