That's wonderful, Brule! And with a username like that, I know you have great taste in literature, "Spear-Slayer"!

I look forward to hearing how Black Moss Hag goes.

Any chance you can copy and paste what you just said over at DriveThru / RPGNow?

Happy gaming!

Turn Undead is the deal-breaker here. It is a MAJOR ability, even at the stunted progression.

I have updated the PDF of the map, because several people are experiencing problems with it. I just did so now (8:30 PM, Eastern Time).

[size=125]The following message was sent to all our Kickstarter backers:

Greetings fellow gamers,

By now, many of you have already received your coupon codes for downloading the Second Edition of Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea. The codes were sent out last night (8PM EDT, or UTC -4). Many of you have already begun perusing the document, which is great. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Some of you have not yet received the code. Here are a few reasons why you may not have:

1.) You did not fill out your survey, so I have no PDF fulfillment address for you, and if you pledged for print products, it probably means that I don't have your physical address, either. If you suspect that you have not yet provided this information, please contact me through this Kickstarter page with your information at your convenience.

2.) You are checking the wrong email address. Many of us have multiple email addresses, and we sometimes forget which ones we use for what. I certainly do this, from time to time.

3.) Your email server flagged the email with the coupon code as junk / spam. Please check your junk folders. This is the most common reason why folks have not seen our coupon codes in the past.

4.) Your email server completely rejected the email. We may have to try an alternative email if this is the case. I have seen this happen with AOL several times over the last five years.

***IMPORTANT!*** Please contact me through Kickstarter with any questions or concerns. FaceBook, Twitter, and G+ are all social media platforms that I routinely visit, but they are not what I'd consider a reliable means of communication.

Lastly, For those of you who have received the code and have downloaded the book, ple

Super stoked as well. Does that advert mean for sure the books will be in print at Gamehole?

That is the plan, Del! Unless we hit a major snag, it looks good!

Thanks
It was actually David Prata's work on AS&SH 1E that convinced me editing in fact was super cool, and since then I've been doing it part time (very part time, but still). So, in a way, thank youguys ;)

That's great! I'm sure that will make Mr. Prata smile.

The only bit of criticism I have is that the text boxes are slightly too transparent... might be hard to read for some.

Other than that, it's awesome.

On the screen, it appears so, but in my test prints (600 dpi laser, HP) this is not the case; in fact the transparency is almost lost. So, I'm curiously waiting to see what the print proof looks like.

Actually the picture of the Cryomancer, is one of the question I need to know!

Am I getting this right: 4 extra Subclasses?

Cryomancer (Magician)
Purloiner (Thief)
Huntsman (Fighter)
Runegraver (Priest)

Is there another, or is that it, just the four?
I working at a City Encounter Chart and adding the different Classes as an encounter and obviously, want to add the new subclasses.

Cheers

That is correct, just those four.

Read "The Moon Moth" by Jack Vance for inspiration. I was also influenced by Michael Crichton's posthumous novel, Pirate Latitudes, as I was developing the city. Throw in some Lankhmar, and you get the picture.

This sounds great, ScooterMcG! I look forward to hearing how it goes. Rats in the Walls is a nice start to a Hyperborea campaign. It's designed to be both familiar to the traditional RPG player, and yet rich with the sort of tone that makes the AS&SH setting of Hyperborea a unique place. I hope it goes well. The party composition is solid.

Cheers!

My very first cassette was Fair Warning, by Van Halen. My first vinyl was Number of the Beast, by Iron Maiden. It's a blur after that. The thing was, my old brother had a dual-cassette boom box, so he used to buy stuff and I used to buy blank tapes and record his stuff. I remember he had the Queensryche EP before anyone had heard of them, so I followed up by purchasing The Warning on vinyl when it came out. The tables turned once I got my paper route, because my obsession with music was much greater than his, so soon he was taping my stuff as I introduced him to Metallica, Mercyful Fate, and many others. I was buying Metal Edge magazine and learning about all the cool stuff.
